The Vibralung Acoustical Percussor uses sound wave technology to promote bronchial drainage, airway clearance and expectoration. This airway secretion clearance device creates vibrations in the airways that liquefy the mucus and secretions (reduces the viscosity of the secretions) allowing the mucus and secretions to be mobilized out of the lungs.

The Vibralung is also a lung expansion device that applies Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP) as a patient breathes through the device. Although if a patient can not preform the PEP (breathing through the mouthpiece with pressure) the Vibralung can still provide the patient with results by using the Vibralung with no pressure (put the mouthpiece in the mouth but don't actively breath through the device with pressure).

While the Vibralung is a stand alone drug free solution it may also be used simultaneously with aerosol drug delivery.
