Quick Start Guide

The Vibralung Acoustical Percussor is battery operated and comes with an AC charge adapter. The batteries will be mostly charged when you take the device out of the box. It is recommended that you charge the batteries to full capacity before using the device.

Once the batteries are charged, unplug the device. It will not operate while it is plugged into the AC charge adapter.

TCU model: Plug the HHT cable into the TCU and attach the y-adapter and mouthpiece.

HCU model: Attach the y-adapter and mouthpiece.

The Vibralung Acoustical Percussor was designed to be used in a busy hospital setting treating multiple patients throughout the day and then to be recharged between shift changes so it will be ready to be used again. For a single patient using either device model the batteries could last a couple weeks or more on a single charge depending on the treatment plan.

General Treatment Plan:

Start with a L treatment followed by an R2 or R5 treatment

progress to a M treatment followed by an R2 or R5 treatment

then to a H treatment followed by an R2 or R5 treatment

Depending on the patients condition the doctor may want to give the L treatment a couple times a day for a few days or week before progressing to the M treatment doing the same for a few days and then to the H treatment. The doctor may want to give the L, M and H treatments all in one day or maybe only two of the treatments each day. The doctor may want to go quicker to the M or H treatment for something acute like pneumonia that is deep in the lungs. The doctor may want more R2 or R5 treatments given before, after or in between the L, M and H treatments.

Allow a couple hours or longer between any of the L, M and H treatments so the body has time to mobilize the mucus and secretions out. The R2 and R5 treatments can be given as needed.
